I bought this beautiful baby-girl doll for our own precious baby girl, Melissa, who is my first great-great grandchild. I fell in love with that sweet face because it is so much like Melissa's! And who could resist such a little charmer all dressed in girly pink?

I haven't seen this doll yet because they live too far away from me, but I can't wait to see a photo of Melissa playing with her very own "baby." You bet I will post it on customer images; that will be a great shot!

Melissa's mother Ashley called me to tell me how much she enjoyed this for her first birthday; she said she scooted around the party, dragging this doll and never once letting go. Needless to say, that warmed my heart.

Ashley also liked Madame Alexander, My First Baby Kiss Me, Sweet Baby Nursery Collection - 12" because the 12" size is the right size for Melissa and the soft body and velour hands and feet are comfortable to the touch. Although looks are secondary when choosing a doll for an infant, Ashley said everyone gushed over how cute it was in it's pink polka-dot outfit.

Another big plus is that it's a Madame Alexander doll, a designer who is known for the beauty and quality of her dolls; a trusted name. But my true reward is in knowing Melissa is enjoying my gift. As I said, I can't wait to get that picture!

Cheap Barbie Doggie Park Kittens

This is part of the Barbie Doggie Park series. The series includes Barbie on skates walking her dog tanner, a doggie/puppy set with a swing and pool, and this set with the kittens and seesaw/slide.

The kittens fit into the slide bottom and you 'lift' them up with a lever in the back like an elevator. Then they slide/roll down the slide. Or you have them see saw.

The one big problem with the series is that the main set, with Barbie and Tanner, really doesn't work well. If you check the reviews of the Barbie dog park, you'll see that pieces don't move well, Barbie doesn't get 'pulled' by Tanner so much as falls over, and Tanner doesn't 'lead' Barbie at all. So if you get this set alone, I think it might be kind of boring for a Barbie doll. We have two of this type of Barbie: one in pink and one in purple. Our two little girls love these "Princesses!" We like them because these are the first two Barbies to keep their shoes at our home. Our youngest daughter is under three. The shoes are permanently affixed to her legs. These dolls are a little freaky in the sense that their belly buttons and feet light up as well as the necklace. I know it is supposed to be her belt that lights, but when she loses her clothes her belly button lights. they are not that durable as some other Barbies. the one's eye shadow is already wearing off and the other one's foot broke off (and now no longer lights up) and we had to supper glue it (after just owning them for three weeks). But the girls seem to not be bothered by any of these mishaps. They enjoy playing with them after the hospital visit to have Barbie's leg fixed. A hair clip would also be a solution if you have this problem. I bought her the pink floral patterned one, the fabric is far nicer in person than in the pictures. It's vibrant & modern, super cute!
