I think these dolls are great because they have the appeal of "Barbie's" but are age-appropriate for little girls who don't really understand "big girls" just yet. My 3 1/2 yr old daughter plays with them as school girls (the set comes with a desk and various items) as well as daughters to the full-size Barbie "mothers". It's really cute!
